Snickerdoodles

Ingredients
  

Cookies

  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 ⅔ cup flour
  • 2 tsp cream of tartar
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ¼ tsp salt

Cinnamon Sugar Coating

  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp sugar

Instructions
 

  • Cream the butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla.
  • Whisk together all the dry ingredients (flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt), then add into the wet ingredients.
  • Use an ice cream scooper to shape the dough into 1 inch balls.
  • Mix the sugar and cinnamon for the coating and roll the dough balls in the mixture until they are well coated.
  • Bake for 8 to 10 minutes at 400°.
