Snickerdoodles

Ingredients
  

Cookies
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 ⅔ cup flour
  • 2 tsp cream of tartar
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ¼ tsp salt
Cinnamon Sugar Coating
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp sugar

Method
 

  1. Cream the butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla.
  2. Whisk together all the dry ingredients (flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt), then add into the wet ingredients.
  3. Use an ice cream scooper to shape the dough into 1 inch balls.
  4. Mix the sugar and cinnamon for the coating and roll the dough balls in the mixture until they are well coated.
  5. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes at 400°.
