Chocolate Chip Swirl Cookies

Ingredients
  

Dark Chocolate Chip (Light Swirl)

  • 1 stick butter
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup flour
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • chocolate chips

White Chocolate Chip (Dark Swirl)

  • 1 stick butter
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • cup cocoa powder
  • 1 cup flour
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • splash of milk if too dry
  • white chocolate chips

Instructions
 

Dark Chocolate Chip (Light Swirl)

  • Cream the butter and two sugars until smooth.
  • Add in egg and vanilla and mix until light and fluffy.
  • In a separate bowl, sift the flour, baking soda, and salt, and add to the mixture until everything is combined.
  • Fold in chocolate chips.

White Chocolate Chip (Dark Swirl)

  • Cream the butter and two sugars until smooth.
  • Add in egg and vanilla and mix until light and fluffy.
  • Mix in the cocoa powder.
  • In a separate bowl, sift the flour, baking soda, and salt, and add to the mixture until everything is combined. Add in a splash of milk if necessary.
  • Fold in the white chocolate chips.

The Swirl

  • Roll each cookie dough into small balls, around 1 tbsp of dough per each.
  • Take one ball of each kind of cookie dough and roll them together into a swirl.
  • Bake for 10 minutes at 350°. Cookies will look a bit undone. Cool for 10 minutes outside the oven to let the cookies cook a bit more on their own.
