Forget chocolate chip cookies. Forget double chocolate chip cookies. If you haven’t yet had a chocolate chip swirl cookie, you haven’t lived. That’s a bold statement, I know. But once you try these, there’s no going back.
I’ve blogged recipes for both my traditional chocolate chip cookies and my double chocolate chip cookies here on the blog before, but I recently tried combining them and OH. MY. GOD. ~Said in the voice of Janice from Friends for dramatic effect~ Seriously, these cookies are amazing! I once made them for my work team and the entire box was gone within a day.
The recipe is a bit more time consuming since you’re making two different types of dough, but trust me, it is worth it. Give it a try and let me know what you think! Have I converted you to a chocolate chip swirl cookie lover, or do you prefer the traditional ones?

The Swirl
- Roll each cookie dough into small balls, around 1 tbsp of dough per each.
- Take one ball of each kind of cookie dough and roll them together into a swirl.
- Bake for 10 minutes at 350°. Cookies will look a bit undone. Cool for 10 minutes outside the oven to let the cookies cook a bit more on their own.
I’ve been baking up a storm during quarantine and trying all different sorts of dessert recipes. What should I make next?
