While tourists and locals alike flock to Central Park in the springtime to catch a glimpse of the cherry blossoms, they often overlook a hidden gem just a few blocks away. Riverside Park is so underrated and is one of New York City’s best kept secrets! Not only can you find rows and rows of beautiful cherry blossoms and tulips, but also you’re bound to come across friendly puppies who are guaranteed to make you smile. As a resident of the Upper West Side, I’m lucky to have access to both parks just a short walk away. Riverside Park has been one of my favorite places to go on a walk after work and clear my head. And this week with the cherry blossoms in full bloom, it’s been a magical dream.
We’ve been blessed with gorgeous spring weather lately, so I’ve been living in this Mackage trench coat! I got it a few years ago at TJ Maxx, so it was such a steal. It’s my go-to coat for the springtime because it’s so light and cute. It’s also very versatile and goes with just about everything! Since it’s past season, I can’t find it online anymore, but there’s a similar version here. I’m also wearing a striped sweater from Mango, Free People black high-waisted skinny jeans, and black pointed slingback heels (similar here).
I can’t help but have a Singing in the Rain moment whenever I see these lamp posts! Or should I say… dancing under the sun? Look at that incredible natural lens flare!
For any You’ve Got Mail fans out there, the tulip garden where Joe (Tom Hanks) and Kathleen (Meg Ryan) meet at the end of the movie can be found at 91st Street. You can also find gorgeous blooms just a short walk away from both ends of the garden.
This white tree is giving me all the bohemian flower child vibes, and I’m tempted to burst out singing Rhiannon by Fleetwood Mac. Which by the way, has been on repeat! I recently got the Fleetwood Mac record, and I have to confess to dancing in my apartment with the record player blasting. Guilty, as charged.
I’m obsessed with this blouse from Rebecca Taylor! There’s just something about a periwinkle and white combo that speaks to my heart. My jeans are from this new brand I discovered called Numero, and wedges are from Michael Kors (old, similar here). The green vest is Zara and borrowed from my friend and fellow blogger On the Go Style!
As always, you can shop my outfit below! This was my first time shooting content in over a year, and it was so much fun. I got to catch up with a good friend and fellow blogger, and it was just like the old times. Now that things are slowly returning to normal, I’m looking forward to more safe meet ups with friends I haven’t seen in a while. It’s been a tough year for all of us, but things are finally starting to look up.
