“French girl” style is all about the je ne sais quoi attitude — effortless, comfortable, and endlessly chic, there’s a reason it’s imitated all over the world.
For brunch at Little Prince, a cute French restaurant in SoHo, I decided to wear a simple Parisian inspired outfit. There’s nothing more classic than a black and white combo with a pop of red. Everything I’m wearing is super old (except for the bag, which believe it or not, is Zara!), but when you invest in something that’s good quality, you know it’ll last a long time.
I especially love the ruffle detail along the zipper of this Banana Republic wool coat (from 2009!). You can’t see much of my J. Crew shirt (2014), but the polka dots are actually in a gradient and get smaller and smaller as you move down the shirt. Cool, right? My Nine West boots (also from 2009) have a little “flap” that you can fold up to create an over the knee look. And last but not least, berets are having a moment this season so I just had to pull mine out! Pro tip: Macy’s has a huge discount on cashmere berets and sweaters during Black Friday!
And now… food!! We ended up ordering the French onion soup burger and the French toast. While both were pretty good, I have to say they were a bit overpriced for the amount of food you get. Although the burger did come with fries which were SO ADDICTING. Whatever ingredients they use for the sauce, I NEED TO KNOW THEIR SECRET.
Can you believe the rest of the week is going to be in the 50s and 60s? So crazy, especially after the blizzard last week. I’m excited to not have to wear a heavy coat everywhere, but it’ll be raining, which is a bummer. I can’t wait for nice weather so that I can explore more of NYC! In the meantime, you can find me daydreaming over my next adventure… the wanderlust is real, you guys.
