So… just like that my time in Boston has officially come to an end! These past few years have been filled with so many incredible memories that I know I’ll fondly look back on. As a tribute to these past four years in this beautiful city, today I’m sharing with you some of my favorite places around town.
If you’re anything like me, you’re always in search of the perfect place for an Instagram shot wherever you go. While that sounds #basic, there’s a reason those spots are popular! However, there are also many “off the grid” places that are just as Insta-worthy, minus the tourists (which, let’s be honest, is always a plus).
Boston is one of the oldest cities in America, full of history and charm, and it only took me four years to truly appreciate what the place has to offer. Here is my roundup of the most Instagrammable spots you’ll definitely want to make a stop at in Boston.
Boston Public Library – The beautiful architecture and details around every corner are so mesmerizing that it can be hard to focus on studying!
Acorn Street – Said to be the most photographed street in America! I love all the unique door knockers, and the Beacon Hill area in general. It’s such a charming neighborhood to wander around.
Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum – The courtyard is absolutely gorgeous, but don’t forget to walk around and enjoy the architecture and artwork as well!
Boston Public Garden – One of my favorite places to go in the fall and spring. The colorful leaves and flowers make this place look straight out of a fairytale. Don’t forget to take a ride on the swan boats!
Waterfront – Whenever I’m not in a great mood, I love going by the water. The Boston waterfront is a calm and peaceful place to unwind after a long day.
Boston Common – The oldest city public park in the US with great views of the Boston skyline. It’s also the perfect place for dog spotting, having a picnic, or reading a book.
North End – A historical neighborhood in Boston full of tourist attractions and delicious food. From the Old North Church and Freedom Trail to cannolis at Mike’s Pastry and authentic Italian food, the North End is a place you can’t miss.
